Group Classes

Our group courses are taught for three hours, twice a week and last for six weeks (a total of 36 hours). These courses have an average of five students. To place you in one of our Blocks, we briefly assess your level to recommend the course that would best suit you. Our group courses provide you with a supportive and conversational learning environment with other people at your level.

Private Classes

With our private instruction, you have one of our native instructors all to yourself! This gives you total flexibility with scheduling and even allows you to focus on certain themes and topics in the language that you want to learn. We offer promotional packages of hours, which are perfect for the serious language-learner. Ask about our popular 42-hour private class package.

Semi-Private Classes

Our semi-private classes are designed for two to three people that wish to study the same language together. Semi-private classes are popular among couples, siblings, coworkers, and friends. Receive all the benefits of private instruction while sharing the cost.

English for Internationals

US Naturalization Test Preparation Course

Need to practice your conversational English and prepare for your US Naturalization Test? Choose from either a 6-week group course or private lessons that will improve your spoken English skills and teach you the 100 answers to the Naturalization Test.

Continuing Education Courses for Nurses

Are you a nurse looking for a unique CE course that will allow you to communicate with more patients? After School Programs

Don't know what to do with your kids while you're at work? Would you rather have your children become fluent in a second language than wait for you at school? Send them to us or ask your PTA about partnering with us! We send our native instructors to middle and high schools all over San Diego to teach your kids the language that they want to learn. Children are the most enviable language-learners; their minds are like sponges and they can easily acquire foreign accents. Our program keeps them actively engaged in the target language and will allow your kids to develop strong linguistic abilities at the best time for learning a language.

Cultural Training

If you're traveling to a foreign country, doing business with foreigners, or simply want to learn more about another culture, our cultural training by native instructors is perfect for you. This program teaches you the most important nuances of another culture. Whether it's properly identifying the difference between Arab and Arabic or knowing the proper etiquette for the Brazilian Carnaval, our cultural training, generally coupled with private language instruction, will ensure that you receive valuable knowledge of any culture you need or want to learn more about.

Getting Started

Once you've selected a program for you and are ready to enroll, fax drop off or mail us a contract and credit card authorization form. To reserve your spot in one of our group courses, we must receive your payment at least three days before the start of the class. Group v. Private Timeline

This graph shows the average time it takes our students to advance through our Ten Conversational Blocks, based on six hours of instruction a week. Each Block consists of 36 hours, occurring twice a week for three hours during a period of six weeks.

Our pedagogical research has found that, on average, students studying with private instruction learn about twice as fast as students studying in groups due to personalized instructor attention. Naturally, these timelines will be shortened with more hours taken per week.

Please note that this is an average measurement tool; learning pace can be affected by many variables, such as class frequency, individual study habits, and student learning style.
